Day 02 – A book that you’ve read more than 3 times

A Book That I Have Read More Than Three Times:

A book that I have read more than three times would have to be The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants series. I think that these five books are so good that you can never get bored of them, especially the final book in the series. Another series that I have read more than three times is Lauren Conrad’s L.A. Candy Series. A month or so ago, I was in Shopper’s Drug Mart and I noticed that Lauren Conrad had recently released a new book that continued on with the L.A. Candy series called The Fame Game. I still have yet to read this book with three other books that I still have yet to read, but this book does look really good just like the three other books that Conrad has written.

Day 01

Best Book I Read Last Year:

The best book that I read last year would have to be Bet Me by Jennifer Cruise. Below is a description of the book and I would recommend this book to anyone that is looking for a good read this summer :)

Book Description:

Minerva Dobbs thought David Fisk might be the one she’s been waiting for, until he dumps her three weeks before her sister Diana’s wedding. Min soon realizes just how lucky she is to be rid of David when she overhears him at her favorite bar betting a handsome stranger, Calvin Morrisey, that Cal couldn’t bed Min in a month. At first Min debates the idea of giving them both a piece of her mind, but then she remembers she still needs a date for the wedding. Why not use the all-too charming Cal just like he was going to use her, and then dump him? Of course, Min never expected that Cal might turn out to be the “one.” A sturdy statistician who thinks Elvis Presley is the only man worth waiting for discovers that fairy tales can come true if you are only willing to believe. New York Times best-selling Crusie maintains her winning streak in another wickedly witty, deliciously sexy contemporary romance. Finding exactly the right balance between cynicism and optimism, Crusie deftly blends snappy dialogue; quirky, irrepressible secondary characters; and two beautifully matched protagonists struggling against their romantic fate.

One of my favourite songs from this TV Show.

Don’t Forget Me- SMASH

Lyrics :
They thought they could dispose of me.
They tried to make me small.
I suffered each indignity but now rise above it all.
Yes, the price that I paid was all I had
But at last I found release.
And if something good can come from bad,
The past can rest in peace.

Ah, if you see someone’s hurt
And in need of a hand, don’t forget me.
Or hear a melody cryin’ from some baby grand, don’t forget me.
When you sing happy birthday to someone you love
Or see diamonds you wish were all free,
Please say that you won’t, I pray that you don’t forget me.

But forget every man who I ever met
‘Cause they only lived to control.
For a kiss, they’d pay a thousand
Yet they paid 50 cents for my soul.
They took their piece -
The price of fame -
That no one can repay.
Ah, but they didn’t buy me when they bought my name
And that is why I pray…

Ah, if you see someone’s hurt
And in need of a hand, don’t forget me.
Or hear a melody cryin’ from some baby grand, don’t forget me.
When you sing happy birthday to someone you love
Or see diamonds you wish were all free,
Please say that you won’t, I pray that you don’t forget me.

There are some in this world who have strength of their own,
Never broken or need of repair.
But there are some born to shine who can’t do it alone
So protect them and take special care.
Take care
And don’t forget me.
Please take care
And don’t forget me.

When you look to the heavens with someone you love
And a light’s shining bright from afar
Hope you see my face there
And then offer a prayer
And please let me be, let me be that star!
